Guide Interpreter
Guide Interpreter (4 positions)
Are you hands-on and enjoy working outdoors, rain or shine? Are you eligible for the Canada Summer Jobs program? Here’s a job for you!
Primary functions
Under the supervision of the General Manager, the Guide Interpreter educates visitors on the importance of preserving wetlands and introduces them to the richness of this ecosystem. They lead visitors on hiking trails and outings in canoes, kayaks, or rabaskas through the reserve. They manage equipment and gear during outings. The Guide Interpreter conducts various activities for different audiences. They ensure compliance with regulations, assist with site maintenance, and prepare equipment for special events.

- Comfortable communicating in French and English

Working conditions
- Daytime shifts, weekdays, and weekends
- Salary to be determined
- 35 hours per week
- Duration of employment: variable
- Seasonal employment (May to October)

Working conditions
- Daytime shifts, weekdays, and weekends
- Salary: to be determined
- 30 to 35 hours per week
- Duration of employment: seasonal contract (May to October)
- On-the-job training
Special conditions
- Must have a valid driver’s license (Class 5).
- You must be eligible for the wage subsidy program offered by Emploi-Québec.
- Must have access to a car, no transportation provided. The Lac-Saint-François National Wildlife Reserve is located in Dundee, Quebec.
